On the weekend in Vancouver, the weather decided to grace us with what may be the some of the last summer feeling days. This was perfect because Underworld Skate Shop threw their Skate Plaza Best Trick Competition. It was also sponsored by LRG Clothing, Circa Footwear, Etnies Shoes, and Monster Energy Drinks.

Chad Dickson, Backside Noseblunt.

The Contest was set up in Jam Format with 40 skaters hitting five different sections of the park. The sections were the ledge over grate, brick hip, the long three with out rail and bank, the manny pads, marble hubba and out rail, and the nine set and nine set rail. Cyrus Thiedeke was MC’n and also was the judge if landed tricks were deserving of a crisp ten or twenty dollar bill.

Mike Shultz, Frontside Bluntslide.

There were so many sick tricks thrown down during the day that it’s impossible to remember them all off of the top of your head! Micky Papa, Chad Dickson, and Takeshi Yoshida made some quick cash and left with some spending money and many others won their drinking money for the night! At the end of the comp there was a huge product toss to end the day on a great note! Huge thanks to Underworld, Monster Energy Drinks, LRG Clothing, Circa Footwear, and Etnies Shoes for throwing a sick comp and everyone for coming out!
